Directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, the theatrical production has been produced by the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and Shapoorji Pallonji - the real estate magnet that financed the epic bollywood film Mughal-E-Azam in 1960. This historical love saga has all the dramatic elements one would want from a musical - thunderous dialogues, melodious songs and mesmerising dance sequences with a contemporary feel to it. Glamorous costumes and lavish sets make the play look ethereal. With about 70 people on the cast and 150 crew this is one of the most expensive musicals to be performed in the country.
